Rare Disease Day 2020


Rare Disease Day takes place on the last day of February each year. The main objective is to raise awareness amongst the general public and decision-makers about rare diseases and their impact on patients' lives.

Rare Disease Day is a global awareness-raising campaign promoting equity for all people living with a rare disease.

Europe's Beating Cancer Plan
On Feb 4th, World Cancer Day, our Executive Director Denis Costello attended the launch of that European Commission’s "Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan" at the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium.

The European Commission has launched an EU-wide public consultation where you have the chance to help shape a patient-centred #EUCancerPlan that brings hope and opportunities to patients and their families affected by cancer.

The plan is open to feedback and public consultation from EU citizens and organisations via the website of the EC:
