Mobilising support to reduce inequities and improve outcomes in women’s cancers

UICC continues to drive efforts to address breast and cervical cancer to help reverse mortality trends and end inequities. Through knowledge sharing, fellowships and other opportunities in its Breast Cancer programme, UICC fully supports WHO’s latest initiative on breast cancer.

UICC is advocating for the early update of state or national cancer control plans and dedicated national strategies for cervical cancer elimination.

Bringing together UICC regional communities in 2021

Leveraging its Virtual Dialogues platform, UICC will offer cancer communities the opportunity to discuss topics that are of particular relevance to their region and to share their experience with organisations in neighbouring countries.

Four cancer professionals receive YY Study Grants to further research

Recipients of last year’s call for Yamagiwa-Yoshida Memorial International (YY) Study Grants come from Brazil, India and the US. They will be visiting research centres in the US, Japan and France for three months later this year. Read more

UICC Young Leaders 2021-2022: Call for applications

In vitro diagnostics (IVDs) provide essential data for screening, diagnosis and treatment, and is vital for the early detection of cancer. In many LMICs, however, access to quality assured medical diagnostics is not a given.
