Dragi članovi i prijatelji MPN Advocates Network,

Posljednji dan sastanka MPN Horizons 2022 započeo je sesijom zagovaranja pod nazivom “Od teorije do stvarnosti”. Ova sesija uključivala je izvrstan pregled NCCN-ovih smjernica za pacijente, koje je predstavila Lindsey Whyte. Meir Pugatch nas je upoznao s načelima farmakoekonomske i farmaceutske inovacije, Basic Health Economics. U zadnjim govorima sesije čuli smo Olivera Karanfilskog koji je govorio o izazovima pristupa s kojima se suočavaju LMIC-ovi, nakon čega je Viji Venkatesh podijelio MPN (PV) studiju slučaja i Lyat Granati koji je predstavio Max Access rješenja.

Medicinska sesija 4 – Personalizirana medicina u MPN-u bila je posljednja sesija MPNHZ22! Počelo je s Peterom Horvathom i njegovim vrlo zanimljivim govorom o umjetnoj inteligenciji u hematologiji. Edoardo Benedetti pridružio nam se virtualno kako bi podijelio svoje iskustvo s MPN-om kroz svoje predavanje o alternativi biopsije koštane srži. Na kraju, zatvorili smo posljednju sesiju ovogodišnje konferencije raspravom u oksfordskom stilu: Trebamo li presaditi ili ne? Martin Ellis predstavlja da bismo trebali i Naveen Pemmaraju koji nas pokušava uvjeriti u suprotno!

Nakon posljednje sesije skupa čestitali smo dobitnicima ovogodišnjih nagrada za poster:
Prvo mjesto: MPN Stichting – Nizozemska
Drugo mjesto: Zaklada Max – SAD
Treće mjesto: Friends of Max – Indija, AGALEMO – Kostarika, Flute of Light – Izrael & AMAL – Maroko

Giora Sharf & Werner Zinkand zatvorili su MPN Horizons 2022 zahvalivši svim sudionicima, osobno i virtualno, na sudjelovanju. Uz neke doista inspirativne priče, događaj je bio doista prekrasno iskustvo i svi uključeni pokazali su svoju strast i predanost MPN zajednici.

Dear members and friends of MPN Advocates Network,   The final day of the MPN Horizons 2022 meeting kicked off with an advocacy session named From theory to reality. This session included some great overview of the NCCN Patient Guidelines, presented by Lindsey Whyte. Meir Pugatch introduced us to the principles of pharmacoeconomic and pharmaceutical innovation, the Basic Health Economics. In the last talks of the session we heard from Oliver Karanfilski about the challenges of access the LMICs face, followed by Viji Venkatesh sharing an MPN (PV) Case study and Lyat Granati presenting the Max Access Solutions. Medical Session 4 – Personalized medicine in MPNs was the last session of MPNHZ22! It started with Peter Horvath and his very interesting talk on Artificial Intelligence in hematology. Edoardo Benedetti joined us virtually to share his experience with MPNs through his lecture on Alternative of bone marrow biopsy. Lastly, we closed the final session for this year’s conference with an Oxford style debate: Should we transplant or not? With Martin Ellis presenting that we should and Naveen Pemmaraju trying to convince us the opposite! After the last session of the meeting, we congratulated the winners of this year’s poster prizes: First place: MPN Stichting – Netherlands Second place: The Max Foundation – USA Third place: Friends of Max – India, AGALEMO – Costa Rica, Flute of Light – Israel & AMAL – Morocco Giora Sharf & Werner Zinkand closed MPN Horizons 2022 by thanking all attendees, both in person and virtually, for participating. With some truly inspirational stories, the event was a truly wonderful experience and everyone involved displayed their passion and commitment to the MPN community.   Thank you to all who attended.
