CLLAN poster presentation at ASH 2022

Ahead of the last conference of the American Society of Hematology (ASH) held in New Orleans from 10-13 December 2022, CLLAN´s abstract entitled “From Survey to Resource Hub: Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) Global Support Provision had been selected by the ASH Program Committee for a poster presentation at the congress. This was a great opportunity for CLLAN to raise its profile, and we are grateful to our Steering Committee member Kathryn Huntley (Australia) for representing our network at this major scientific event and helping us become more visible in the scientific environment.

In addition to the live poster presentation during the poster session on Sunday, 11 December 2022, we had to submit a pre-recording of the poster presentation. Click here to access the virtual poster presentationThe abstract can be accessed by clicking here

For background information on CLLAN´s 2021 global survey, please visit the survey section on our website. The survey report and recommendations will be published soon. Publication will be announced in the next newsletter.

Further to the above, CLLAN has been actively involved in the development of two other abstracts that are both available online:
  1. Abstract developed in partnership with ALAN and CML Advocates Network entitled ”Experiences and Views of Leukemia Patients_ A Global Survey”. This abstract has also been approved for poster presentation at ASH. Link to the abstract: https://ash.confex.com/ash/2022/webprogram/Paper163309.html

  2. Abstract developed within the HARMONY ALLIANCE, a European Public-Private Partnership for Big Data in Hematology that CLLAN is an active member of. The abstract is entitled ”Pan-Stakeholder Core Outcome Set (COS) Definition for Hematological Malignancies within the Framework of Harmony and Harmony PLUS Projects”. Link to the abstract: https://ash.confex.com/ash/2022/webprogram/Paper157549.html

We would like to thank CLL patients and patient organisations that have supported this work by distributing and contributing to surveys and providing feedback and information to evidence the study poster publications’ findings, summary conclusions and recommendations.

On 7 December 2022, CLLAN hosted a webinar – “How are advances in Bruton’s tyrosine kinase targeted therapies continuing to change how chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is treated?”.
