View this email in your browser       Dear members & friends, The 11th MPN Horizons Conference officially kicked off today in Paris, bringing together more than 90 participants from 33 countries for three days of learning, collaboration and meaningful discussions about the future of MPN patient advocacy. Under the theme “Advocates & Doctors Coming Together,” MPN Horizons 2026 unites patient advocates, healthcare professionals and industry partners with a shared goal: improving the lives of people affected by MPNs worldwide.       A Warm Welcome to the Global MPN Community Following the traditional Welcome Lunch, the conference officially opened with welcoming remarks from Jonathan Mathias and Giora Sharf. MPNs Today & Tomorrow One of the highlights of the first day was the medical session 1 – “MPNs Today & Tomorrow,” chaired by Yih Seong Wong and Amy Lane. The session brought together leading MPN experts to discuss current treatment approaches and developments in the pipeline for the three major MPN conditions: Prof. Jean-Jacques Kiladjian (France) – State of the art in polycythaemia vera (PV): What is in the pipeline? Prof. Florian Heidel (Germany) – State of the art in essential thrombocythaemia (ET): What is in the pipeline? Dr. Marko Lucijanić (Croatia) – State of the art in myelofibrosis (MF): What is in the pipeline? The presentations provided an opportunity to explore the evolving MPN treatment landscape and the importance of continued research in addressing patients’ needs. Introducing the MPN Access Atlas Another important part of the programme was the presentation of the MPN Access Atlas by Jonathan Mathias. This initiative aims to improve understanding of access to MPN diagnosis, treatment and care across different countries, providing valuable information to support patient advocacy and help identify gaps and inequalities.       The afternoon also featured a Poster Walk, offering participants an opportunity to discover research and advocacy initiatives, exchange ideas and learn from the work of fellow members of the MPN community. Connecting Beyond the Conference Sessions The first day concluded with an evening reception and dinner, creating further opportunities for participants to connect, strengthen relationships and continue conversations in a more informal setting. With over 90 participants representing 33 countries, MPN Horizons 2026 once again demonstrates the strength, diversity and commitment of the international MPN community. And this is only the beginning! Over the next two days, the programme will continue with discussions on patient–physician collaboration, genetics, transplantation, quality of life, patient advocacy best practices and access to treatment.
